When the Sky Turns Blue

My four year old grandson stayed over last night, and after thinking about sunrise shots for the next morning, I asked him what time he got up.

His reply was "When the Sky Turns Blue"

My Grandson later during the day.
I got down the beach at 5.30 am and to my surprise there were two other photographers already there. I can only presume the word was out about the Spring Sunrises at Lake Cathie.
I am afraid I do have a bit of a competitive nature, and I am also a little territorial.
I wonder what they captured on another great start to the day.
Here are a few of my captures all before 7.00am.

My SLR camera tip for today is look for those simple shapes that will make great silhouettes with the beautiful colours of dawn. A tree, a landform or even wildlife but try to keep it simple.

Fair Dinkum!!
