Voting Day

NSW Local Council Elections today. Lets hope we have all voted for candidates with honesty and integrity.

It will be of great interest here in the Hastings, as our local council has been run by an administrator after the last group was sacked for bad administration.

Sunrise was very peaceful this morning, with a light offshore drift and a small ocean swell.
A lot of fisherman around as small bait fish are chased by Salmon.

Heaps of cormorants and wading birds have returned to the estuary now that it has become tidal again. It is a little over two weeks since it was artificially opened to the sea. A little more warm weather and the Eastern Grey Kangaroos will be more visible feeding on the lakeside grasses.

Unlike previous mornings of the last week, the fishermen beat the surfers to the beach. There was only one solitary surfer in the water at Sunrise.

My SLR Camera tip for today is for capturing Sunrises. It pays to be there half hour early to set up your tripod, and capture some great colour and mood before the sun rises. When the sun does appear the colour will soon disappear.

Fair Dinkum!!
